4. Te Araroa Walkway - Pukerua Bay to Kapiti

We started down at the beach on Ocean Parade. We wandered around the beach to a service road and then basically the rest of the walk is along a path beside State Highway One.

BUT... it was really enjoyable. I loved watching the water moving. It was a bit hazy out in the distance today but you have Kapiti Island in your view for the whole walk and it was still clear enough that we could make out the top of the South Island. There seemed to be a few gulls nesting on the rocks below one section of the walkway and they were a bit agitated when we went past.

We stopped on the beach just past Fisherman's Table before heading back.
