My youngest three came along today. I had to tempt them to come with a promise of a visit to the Raumati Marine Gardens (which is fantastic by the way!)
We entered the park at MacKays crossing and drove down a little past the rangers station to where there is a US Marine Memorial.
It was an interesting walk going between swampy ponds with very loud frogs, through native forest and across farm land. There were lots of information posts to find.
We could have extended the walk by continuing to the beach but the kids were keen to have a go on the tram.
